CANDABA - A 62-year-old grandfather here was arrested by the local police for selling illegal drugs.
Superintendent Benjamin Medina, town's chief of police identified the suspect as Orlando Dela Cruz Tipon, married and resident of Barangay Sto. Nino this town.
Police authority disclosed that vided information through a text message about the illegal activity being allegedly undertaken by the suspect from his house situated in front of the school.
The informer stated that the same suspect has been pushing or trading illegal drugs for so long victimizing the residents and at the same time exposing the students studying in a nearby school from danger.
With this, the local police organized a composite team to conduct a buy bust operation against Tinio which resulted to the latter's arrest.
"Hindi naging madali yung operation dahil secured yung lugar ng suspect. Mataas ang bakod, mayroon pa siyang CCTV sa labas ng bahay," PO3 Rommell Delos Santos told Sun Star Pampanga.
Confiscated from the suspect were 4 small heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, Nokia Cellular Phone and buy-bust money.
