CANDABA - Bahay Pare Barangay Captain Arnold Canimo yesterday asked the municipal government to consider
returning to them management and income from "tiangge."
He said it was them who worked hard to encourage traders from other municipalities to come into their community once a week.
However,
for at least two years now, Canimo claimed that they had been deprived
of earnings from the same noting that the previous
administration took over the management.
He further stated that fees being collected from the traders came to benefit only the municipality and none for the barangay.
aming barangay," Canimo explained.
The
barangay leader stressed that previously they were able to collect some
P250,000 a year being deposited to the barangay account.
He
also suggested to consider bringing back the "tiangge" inside the
covered court near the barangay hall which according to him is the
original place for such trading activity.
