Lady mayor hits Rimpy Bondoc

SAN SIMON - Mayor Leonora Capule Wong yesterday lambasted fourth district congressional candidate Juan Pablo Rimpy Bondoc for allegedly grabbing the credit on various government funded projects.

She said the public deserves to know the truth about the details of the projects being carried out in the municipality as funded by the national government or any of its angency or instrumentalities.

"Under what capacity he is acting for? He is a private citizen. Bakit nakalagay sa mga streamers salamat Rimpy eh proyekto ito ng gobyerno," Capule-Wong told Sun Star in an interview.

This rooted in an occassion wherein Bondoc along with his bet  local candidates spearheaded the ground breaking ceremony of a covered court in one barangay here without coordinating with the municipal government.

Capule-Wong  stated that as a gesture of respect, Bondoc should have first shown the documents pertaining to the project same with the source of his authority to lead the groundbreaking being a private citizen.

"Kailangan mayroon silang streamer na nagpapakita ng detalye ng proyekto. Kung magkano ang pondo, pangalan ng contractor, kung kailan ito magsisimula at matapos pati yung source of funds," she stressed.

As this developed, the lady mayor tried to stop the groundbreaking for irregularities.

It was learned that the project came from the National Housing Authority upon the initiative  of Vice
President Jejomar Binay chanelled through the priority development  assistance fund of incumbent Congresswoman Dra. Anna York Bondoc-Sagum - sister of Rimpy.

With this, an official from NHA stated in a phone interview, but requested not to be named, clarified to Sun Star Pampanga that the project was bidded and awarded to the winning bidded October last.

However, she said, they were not properly adivsed on the supposed groundbreaking ceremony through Bondoc.

On the other hand, the mayor remained firm that a private citizen cannot interfere on projects of the government as the same involves public funds and not of the Bondoc.

Capule-Wong also noted that a lot of streamers were plastered and seen in various government projects thanking Rimpy Bondoc which she believes is  a form of deception and trying to mislead the people.
