CANDABA - “Anak Ng Candaba” (ANC) founder and Kambilan Party mayoralty bet Patrick Gerard "Kuya Pat" Pelayo the other day distributed health kit to barangay health workers here.
Kuya Pat said that this initiative is a gift to his father Mayor Jerry Pelayo who is about to celebrate his birthday next week.
Included in the package of the medical kit are stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, nebulizer and blood test strips for diabetic patients.
These were bought personally by the younger Pelayo in support to the continuing health program of the municipal government.
This kit was distributed to all 33 villages here through their respective BHWs in a simple ceremony held in ANC headquarter in Barangay Lanang this town.
Kuya Pat is eyeing the town's top position to replace his father who is about to finish his third and last term as the local chief executive.
Observers here noted that there is a need to push through the development introduced by the older Pelayo for the people to really enjoy the same.
They said, this can only be achieved with Kuya Pay being elected as such on 2013 midterm elections.
