Alberto
Flores, Clark Loop’s spokesperson said that they have been deprived of their
right to occupation for the past two years with the continuous reluctance of
the part of the LTFRB to issue CPC for them to legally continue operations.
“Dalawang
taon na kaming walang trabaho. Dalawang pasko na rin kaming walang masarap na
handa. Ang mga anak ng aming ibang kasamahan ay huminto na rin sa pag aaral
dahil wala ng pantustos,” Flores told Sun Star Pampanga in an interview.
In a
decision dated July 17, 2012 signed by the LTFRB Board Members Atty.
Manuel Iway, Engr. Samuel Julius Garcia, the opposition on the
application of CPC was dismissed already.
“The
opposition separately filed Clark Maingate Multi Purpose Coop. And Clark
Economic Zone Drivers and Conductors Association Inc. are hereby
dismissed. The application for issuance of CPC filed by the applicants are
hereby considered uncontested,” the decision stated.
The Clark
Loop members lamented that despite the clear language of the decision, the same
remained unenforced which compromised their right to engage in lawful
employment.
With this,
Atty. Donald Diaz, Clark Loop counsel requested for a temporary permit to allow
the applicants to operate in the meantime while other collateral issues raised
by the oppositors are being taken into consideration.
“For
humanitarian reason, we asked LTFRB to provide them temporary permit so that
they can ply on their original route to support the needs of their families
particularly as Christmas is getting closer,” Diaz pointed out.
The LTFRB
during the session required the applicants through counsel to formally file a
motion to bolster request for temporary permit.
They were
given fifteen day within which to file the same.
