CANDABA - Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda yesterday has led the ground breaking ceremony of a birthing station inside the municipal hall extension located in Barangay Bahay Pare this town.
Engineers working on the site told Sun Star Pampanga that some P4.9 million has been allocated by the provincial government for the said purpose.
The new health facility will be constructed in a lot involving a 250 square meters and is projected to be completed within three months as stated in the contract.
This project is part of the campaign promise of Governor Pineda to the people.
Earlier, Pineda noted that kabalens in the Tagalog region of Candaba also deserve to enjoy the health programs of the provincial government
In fact, she recognized that most them preferred to go to Bulacan for medical attention rather than go to the nearest hospital in the province.
Among the barangays that could benefit from the hospital are Paligui, Bahay Pare, Dulong Ilog, Pulung Gubat, Barit, Tinajero, Mangga, Dalayap, Visal Sto. Nino, Visal Sto. Cristo, Visal San Pablo, Pulong Plazan and Pangclara.
Joining the governor during the ground breaking were Mayor Jerry Pelayo and son Patrick Gerard, Board Members Nestor Tolentino, Frirzie Olga David and Ricardo Yabut.
