CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia Pineda together with other elected officials warmly welcome foreign investors during the launching of the state of the art satellite internet E-Kiosk project in Barangay Planas, Porac town.
Pineda thanked I.P.S.T.A.R. Solutions Philippines Corp. (IP Star) through its President and CEO Dr. Joey Aranal for establishing internet connectivity in an Aeta community in the province.
She said that project will open opportunities to Aetas as it would bring relevant information inevitable to progress and developing communities.
The governor stated that the province has a big potential to become another telecommunication hub in the countr.
She cited the present development in terms of peace and order which recently led to the declaration of the Philippine Army with the province of Pampanga as an insurgency free.
Pineda likewise noted that province has already implemented infrastructure facilities in cooperation with the local government units, business sector and other stakeholders.
The investors came from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, China and Malaysia among other countries in Asia.
The IP Star is offering services to the rural countryside that deploys a business model, such as the basic internet cafe also known as e-kiosk. It is expandable to propagate Wi-Fi hot spots in various remote municipalities, from 200 meters radius to as much as 5 kilometers radius.
This will aid money remittance services, provide link for ATM services, and provide any type of data, video and voice services for both domestic and international routes.
Joining the governor during the project’s launching were 1st District Board Member Frances Olga David Dizon, Porac Mayor Condralito Dela Cruz and Vice Mayor Dexter David and the barangay officials and aeta families.
