SAN
LUIS – Some 300 chairs, 20 tables among other supports yesterday had
been provided by the provincial government to San Luis High School.
As
this developed, School Principal Domingo Reyes together with the
faculty members and parents thanked the provincial government for the
assistance.
This
according to them is timely as their school is still in the early stage
of investing in various educational facilities, fixtures and the like.
The newly established San Luis High School is formerly known as A. Gonzales Sioco High School (AGSHS) - a private school.
It
was learned that the local government unit here negotiated the purchase
of AGSHS as part its commitment to make education accessible to
everybody.
The
purchase cost is P6-million half of it is paid by the municipality of
San Luis from their Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) and the remaining
amount is promised to be shouldered by the provincial government.
San
Luis High School is currently serving students from the villages of
Sta. Cruz Poblacion, Sto. Tomas, Sta. Rita, Sta. Lucia, Sto. Rosario,
San Sebastian, Sta. Maria and San Agustin.
