CITY
OF SAN FERNANDO - Senator-elect Grace Poe-Llamanzares is set to
administer the oath taking of Candaba Mayor-elect Rene Maglanque on June
30 at around four in the afternoon.
Maglanque
said he already talked with the senator about the plan of having her to
be the guest of honor during the oath taking of the newly elected local
officials here.
He added Poe-Llamanzares immediately approved the plan and assured her presence on the occasion.
The lady senator topped the recently concluded senatorial race.
She
run independently during the 2013 mid-term elections but was backed by
the Liberal Party headed by the President Benigno III which the incoming
mayor is also a member.
During
the campaign, Maglanque actively pushed for the senatorial candidates
of the ruling party to ensure their victory in town.
He campaigned under the slogan of vote straight Team PNOy.
Aside
from the senator, other leaders of the Liberty Party had also
manifested desire to witness the installation into office of Mayor-elect
Maglanque including 3rd district Congressman-elect Oscar Rodriguez.
