MINALIN - Incoming Mayor Edgar Flores yesterday asked outgoing Mayor Arturo Naguit to welcome his transition team to ensure a
smooth turn over.
Flores
said starting next week his transition team through the help of the
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) officer assigned in
the municipality is expecting to be closely working with the group of
Naguit.
"Baka
isipin naman kasi nila na nagmamadali ako, sigurado mid na lang ng June
tayo makikipag usap para sa transition natin, andyan naman ang DILG
para tumulong sa atin," he told Sun Star Pampanga in an interview.
The
incoming mayor explained that the change of administration in the
municipal government should not prejudice delivery of basic services to
the people.
Flores
stressed that collaboration
between the working force of Naguit and his transition team is
important to ensure that there is proper turn over of government
properties, programs and projects among others.
The
Flores administration is also bound to inherit transactions same with
the obligations which the municipal government incurred to private
entities and individuals in the regular course of doing public service.
Flores made a successful political comeback after he defeated Naguit in May 13 midterm elections.
