Local festivals mark 441st Aldo ning Kapampangan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Various festivals being celebrated in the different municipalities in the province yesterday greeted the opening of the 441st Aldo ning Kapampangan.

Festivals that highlighted the event were; Caragan (Mabalacat), Kamaru (Magalang), Bagyus (Angeles City),  Fiesta San Jose (Floridablanca), Mangga (Arayat), San Nicolas (Mexico), Sampaguita (Lubao), Binulo (Porac), Duman (Sta. Rita), Kuraldal (Sasmuan), Sun-Sea-Moon (San Simon),  Makatapak (Bacolor), at Ibon-Ebon (Candaba).

"ALDO NING KAPAMPANGAN." The Ibon-Ebon dancers perform along with other festivals in various                     municipalities during the opening of the Pampanga Day Celebration.
This showcase a synchronized street dancing exhibition in their individual grand costumes and  choreographies showing their unique cultures and traditions.

Provincial Tourism Officer Arwin Lingat stated that this is first time that the provincial government has brought together all festival traditions in the province under one celebration.

“This is a long dream of the provincial tourism office to bring together all festivals that materialized under the leadership of Gov. Lilia Pineda,” said Lingat.

 “The cabalen and tourists will have the first hand experience of seeing our traditions at the same time,” he stated.

He noted that the parade of festivals showcased the existing good relationship between the province and the local government units that emphasized this year celebration’s theme “Abe-abe, Pagmasusian Panyulung ning Kapampangan”.
