Former village watch man, two others arrested for trading drugs

CANDABA - A former barangay tanod from Barangay Dalayap here and two others were arrested for trade of illegal drugs.

Superintendent Benjamin Medina, town's chief of police identified the suspects as Leonardo Francisco, a resident from Barangay Dalayap, Apolonio Mendoza, 34 and Ruel Mendoza, 35, both are residing from Barangay San Roque, San Rafael town in Bulacan.

Initial investigation bared that the local police received an information about the illegal activities being perpetrated by the suspects in the area.

With this, the police operatives immediately coordinated with the  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency  in the province to conduct a buy bust operation.

Mendoza was first arrested  after he was caught selling a sachet of crystal substance believed to be shabu
to police asset.

During the interrogation, Mendoza identified Francisco as the source who was known in the locality as a shabu peddler. He was once subject of buy bust operation on January 26, 2012.

The second suspect was also caught in the actual act of selling shabu to another police asset.

Certain Ruel Mendoza was also arrested after a sachet of shabu and paraphernalia intended for the use illegal drugs on the same operation found in his possession.

Recovered from the suspects are one piece of one thousand peso bill, four pieces of  plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, four lighters, two burners, improvised tube pipe, three  used aluminum foils, cell phone, two scissors, black shoulder bag, coin purse, plastic box with needle, two units of motorcycle, 18 pieces of twenty pesos bill and one US dollar.
