CANDABA - The mayoralty bid of Patrick Gerard "Kuya Pat" Pelayo, son of incumbent Mayor Jerry has been bolstered
with the increasing support coming from the youth sector in town.
This
came as the regular house to house campaign by the younger Pelayo in
various barangays turned like 'people power' when the youth surprisingly
came out to join him in campaigning and soliciting support from the
local folks.
This sector is playing a
big role in Pelayo's campaign.
In
fact, aside from joining him in his sorties, they are also maximizing
the use of technology and other social media to convince their friends
and relatives to rally behind the cause of Pelayo.
"Mga
frends n relatives ko dyan sa bahay pare at buong candaba, wag n po
taung mag alinlangan,vote straight po tau team kuya pat na,mahal ntin
ang ating pamilya kya sa knila lng ntin maipagkakatiwala ang ating mga
mahal sa buhay,kuya pat n kuya jerry,saludo kmi senyu!," Dennis Danan, a resident here shouted in his Facebook account.
Others
are also showing support through simple message published in their
personal social networking site saying that the younger Pelayo is the
man fit for the position to be vacated by his father.
"We want you to win, your campaign is our campaign and your victory is our victory. Mabuhay kaya kuya pat pelayo and cong jerry pelayo, we love you.. Dire-diretso lang.. Kasama mo kami," Annalyn De Guzman, also a resident here posted in her account.
It was learned that there were about more than 20,000 youth registered voters which is enough to change the political landscape in town.
