CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The head of the Pampanga’s
Public Employment Service Office (PESO) yesterday bared that they had already
facilitated the employment of some 17,085 Kapampangans.

Vergara, PESO manager said from July 1, 2010 to March 31 this year, some 14,156
individuals were given local employment opportunity.
“For foreign employment
ang natulungan natin ay umabot na sa mga dalawang libo siyam na raan ay siyam
na katao,” she added.
Aside from this, Vergara
stated that they are also conducting career counselling benefiting at least
12,697 students various colleges and universities in the province.
“Mayroon din tayong
isinasagawang career counselling para naman sa job matching ng kanilang
kukuning kurso sa college,” she stressed.
Pampanga’s PESO was earlier included in the roster of “Hall of
Fame Awardees” as far as provision of employment services in the country is
concerned during the 12th National
PESO Congress held at the Baguio Country Club in Baguio City last October 11.
For three consecutive years, Vergara has also
previously bagged national championship award as the “Best PESO Manager” for
first class province category.
The PESO manager,
meanwhile, clarified that the success of their programs could also attributed
to the continuing support of the provincial government under the leadership of
Governor Lilia Pineda.
She likewise cited the full support and
effective working relationship with municipal and Barangay based PESO
coordinators in the province.
