Pineda laughs-off Panlilio’s 661.27 B infra-projects

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO --- The camp of Governor Lilia G. Pineda laughed-off the statement of gubernatorial candidate Eddie Panlilio that he has completed P661.27 billion infrastructure projects including the construction of classrooms during his term from 2007 to 2010.

Joel Mapiles, acting provincial information officer (PIO) said they want the figures to speak for themselves. “The P661.27-B infra-projects has already spoken for itself that the former priest is maybe lying to his teeth, just expressing a joke, totally misinformed or it’s a simple typographical error.

“For the information of the public, the provincial government since the time of Governor Panlilio has an annual budget ranging from P1- billion to 1.3 billion and almost half of this goes to the personnel services. Saan niya kinuha iyong P661.27 billion? Keng paninap na? Kasi nung magparatut naka mu rin, ita ng malapit keng tutu. O baka naman mali ya pangasulat? Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt,” he disclosed.

Whatever it is, Mapiles said, the Pineda camp has also shrugged-off the claim of Panlilio that he has more projects than the incumbent local chief executive.

He said Governor Pineda is not used to be compared to anyone. “Public service is a public trust and not a competition. It is a solemn vow to the Almighty and a genuine commitment to the people whom you pledged to serve with all your heart and humility,” the PIO said.

“Eh paligsahan o payabangan ing pamagserbisyu. Uling pera dala ding tau reng pondu ning gobyerno. Karela la ren, ot pagmariria ta la? Ita mu, ikata mu mu ing buri dang magserbisyu karela,” the PIO quoted the governor as saying.

“Tandanan tamu pu, maglaram la ding datos nung ela ustu pangasulat, ayusan yo pa bayu mila pakibatan. Anyway, the people will speak for the truth and what they feel through their decision in May 2013 mid-term elections,” the PIO officer said.

He said, it’s election time, every candidate like the former priest is free to express opinion, concoct lies and hallucinate even if it is an “impossible dream”.

He stressed that if the camp of Panlilio wants the figures to speak, the camp of Pineda wants the Kapampangan people to speak their hearts and follow their individual and collective will based on the services and projects they benefitted from the two candidates who held the highest position in the provincial government

Mapiles gave an unsolicited advice to the former priest to just build up himself before the electorate through offering a better flat form of government. “He should stop comparing himself to the incumbent governor and this may not help or do well as a campaign propaganda,” he said.

“Maligning, bullying, lying and boastfulness are acts of a politically desperate candidate. I am not describing the former priest whom I expect to speak the good message of his future plans on governance and pledges that may inspire and give hope to the Kapampangans.

However, he said, on the contrary, it seems that Panlilio speaks with make-believe in his heart and pride in his mind. “ He does not know what he is talking about when he compared his figures on health program with that of Governor Pineda,” he said.

The Kapampangans know for a fact that health is the core program of the Pineda administration.
Panlilio claimed his administration spent P188.97 million which benefitted more than 30,000 people from 2007 to 2010. “That’s good, if it is true. The question is “Naramdaman ba ng mga kapampangang ang serbisyo ni Gob Panlilio?” he asked.
Mapiles said, “he only created an impression then that the Kapampangans who sought for help when he was the de-facto-governor were really poor, beggars and depressed when he gave P200, P300 and P500 and sometimes a maximum of P1,500 to those who sought for his health assistance. Most of the time, the financial assistance he gave is not enough for the expenses   spent for the preparation of requirements. That’s what I heard from the people. Minsan pa kanu, sasabian na, ‘pangadi da naka mu. Well, prayer is powerful if the Lord is listening.”
