APALIT – Local leaders from the villages in eight municipalities in the 4th district lauded the provincial government for spending at least P205-million on various projects.
This came as barangay chieftains, purok leaders, tanods along with other officials recently gathered in this town in a meeting with Governor Lilia Pineda.
Pineda said that the people from the 4th district were getting a just share from the funds of the provincial government through programs and projects carried within the first thirty months after she assumed office.
The provincial government funded the rehabilitation of San Luis District Hospital (SLDH) to cater the growing number of patients coming from the neighboring towns.
Recently, SLDH extension building was constructed under the instruction of Pineda spending more than P9 million.
The governor also started with the rehabilitation of the Macabebe District Hospital which was funded P15-million by the provincial government, with additional P10-million from the Department of Health.
This facility is now serving the healths of needs of the people in the clustered towns of Macabebe, Masantol, Minalin, Apalit among others.
The provincial government likewise funded major infrastructure projects like construction of classroom buildings in different public schools and provincial, municipal access road including farm to market roads and covered courts.
"Ngayon lamang kami kay Nanay nakakarinig ng milyong milyong piso pondo na ginagamit sa mga proyektong pinakikinabangan ng mga karaniwang Kapampangan di tulad ng dati," one of the barangay officials noted.
In total, the Capitol spent P1.5-billion for various infrastructure projects throughout the province.
