ARAYAT - A former 3rd district board member who is currently eyeing for a fresh mandate in the provincial board has belittled of the performance of former Governor Lito Lapid and son Mark in so far the quarry collections are concerned.
Dinan Labung who served as a member of the provincial board during the Lapid's administration disclosed that the average quarry collections during this time is only P1-million a month.
This according to him is incomparable to the quarry performance of Governor Lilia Pineda with an a average of P1-million a day.
However, the Povincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO) records show that the minimum revenue on the quarry industry is at least P20-million a month just close to claim of Labung.
With this, Labung said that Pineda deserves to be appreciated for her remarkable achievements in the quarry industry after implementing reforms in the collection system including the adjustment made in the organization of the main group in charged in the operations.
He noted that Governor Pineda has made history in Pampanga particularly in the quarry collection wherein she has surpassed the achievement of all other governors including former Governor Eddie Panlilio.
Governor Pineda, in her Ulat sa Bayan read before the local officials in the 4th district, bared that as of January 30 this year, the provincial government recorded a quarry revenue amounting to some P675,997 million.
"Ang target natin ngayon sa quarry collections ay one billion pesos," she stated.
The success in quarry collection is attributed to the cooperation of all the stakeholders, mayors, quarry operators and truckers in the province.
