CANDABA – Local traders here said impeding completion of the Candaba-San Miguel road is a welcome development and is expected to bolster the town's economy in the coming years.
They said that so long Candaba has not achieved so much in terms of economic growth due to its geogpahic characteristics.
This came as Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials bared plan to finish the ramaining 2.5 kilometers of Candaba-San Miguel road.
DPWH earlier stated that at least P111-million has been allocated for the project.
Candaba-San Miguel road links the Kapampangan region to the town proper wherein the agricultural produced from the villages therein could now easily be transported to the public public.
"Magiging maganda ang resulta nito para aming maliliit na nagtitinda dahil mababawasan ang gastos sa pamasahe ibig sabihin mas mura ang produktong mabibili ng tao," another trader here ended.
