CANDABA – An official from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) bared that some P111-million will be allocated for the construction of Candaba-San Miguel road.
This was disclosed by Pampanga 1st Engr. Rico Guilas during the recent meeting with the provincial government.
The road project includes the remaining 2.5- kilometer stretch to link the villages in the Kapampangan region of Candaba to the town proper.
Earlier, the concreting of more than 600 meters of the Candaba-San Miguel road Magumbali section was funded by the provincial government amounting to P5-million.
Mayor Jerry Pelayo believed that the completion of the construction Candaba-San Miguel road will open another economic opportunities in the localities.
He said that agricultural crops from the isolated villages can now be easily transported to the public market.
In the past due to the poor condition of the road, the farmers were bringing their crops in San Miguel Bulacan as it more accessible.
