CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Third district Board Member Monina "Mons" Laus yesterday disclosed that she is pushing for the approval of the "Public Health Act."
This came as she expressed optimism that the same will get approve on the first quarter of this year.
Laus, chairman of the provincial board's health committee said that the initiative is in line with the objective of Governor Lilia Pineda to provide a comprehensive and integrated health services to the Kapampangans.
Laus stated that people could expect more health programs should the pending proposal on the matter will eventually approve by the members of the provincial board.
"Malaking tulong ito sa ating mga kababayan kapag naaprubahan yung Provincial Health Act natin dahil lalung gaganda ang pagbibigay natin ng serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan," the lady board member told Sun Star Pampanga.
Laus explained the proposed legislative measure encompasses all the health requirements and needs of Kapampangans including hospital policies, procedures and updated hospital fees among others.
She also noted that the provincial government is still serious in increasing the number of the district hospitals in the province currently attending on the health needs of the people by establishing another one in Apalit town.
