CANDABA - Local officials here from the municipal and barangay level recently renewed support to the re-election
bid of Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda and candidacy of Dennis "Delta" for vice governor.
The Kapanalig
at Kambilan neng Memalen Pampanga (Kambilan) the other day conducted a
party caucus in a private farm in Barangay Lanang here to consult party
members from the local level on several issues involving their official
candidates in various positions.
The caucus was spearheaded by the governor and son Delta.
Leny Manalo, chief of staff of Mayor Jerry Pelayo told Sun Star Pampanga that aside from
the key officials, also present during the event were barangay captains and councils from Tagalog and Kapampangan Regions in this town.
Manalo
noted Candaba officials unanimously expressed their one hundred
percent support to mother and son tandem for the two highest positions
in the provincial government.
As
this developed, they promised to encourage their constituents,
relatives and friends to vote for them to ensure Pinedas' winning in the
upcoming 2013 midterm elections.
This town has a total population of more than 100,000 and 60,000 of which were registered voters.
Mayor
Pelayo for his part stressed Governor Pineda has overwhelmingly
performed her first three years in office as governor as she even
exceeded to the expectation of the people in Pampanga.
"Saan
na makakakita ng gobernador na madaling araw pa ay nagtatrabaho na
tapos gabi na kung umuwi. Ganyan niya pinagsisilbihan ang ating mga
kababayan," he stated.
On
the other hand, the mayor likewise noted that Delta is a well
experienced public servant being a termed mayor in Lubao town and former
president of Pampanga Mayors' League.
