CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Several out-of-school
youth who passed recent Non-Formal
Education Accreditation and Equivalency Test under Alternative Learning System (ALS)
of the Department of Education lauded
the provincial government for offering scholarship with them
“Doble po ang saya namin dahil
mayroon na kaming diploma na katumbas ng diploma na ibinibigay sa mga high
school graduates at ngayon ay pwedi pa kaming mag aral ng college sa tulong ng
kapitolyo,” Jasper Mendoza, ALS graduate said.
The provincial government through
Governor Lilia Pineda earlier disclosed that application for scholarship grant
is also open to ALS graduate who want to pursue college education.
Pineda promised to provide some
P5,000 per semester or P10,000 per year.
“Malaking tulong na po ito para sa amin,”
Mendoza added.

The Capitol is also giving scholarship
grant to students
who graduated valedictorian, salutatorian, and first honorable mention.
They are expected to receive P20, 000 every year subject to the
condition that will maintain an average of 85 percent.
Others who graduated second honorable to
third will be getting at least P10,000 per year and the rest up to 10th
honor will receive P5,000.
