CITY
OF SAN FERNANDO - Indigent Kapampangans who benefited on the Integrated
Medical Assistance (IMA) program of Governor Lilia Pineda regarded the
upcoming elections as a pay back time.
Gotiangco stressed that Pineda will continuously enjoy the overwhelming support of the people in the province as she fully devoted her first term serving the interest of the Kampangan in terms of health programs.
Gener Paviola, a dialysis patient stated he along with his family will vote for Governor Pineda and son Dennis as both are already tested in public service.
Pineda after assuming the capitol's highest post initiated the formation of a team of medical experts which is composed of surgeons, specialists in urology, oncology, neurology and pulmonology to provide the immediate health needs of the Kapampangan.
Under IMA program, the governor has provided the people in Pampanga free access to medical experts in public hospitals.
She also pushed for the upgrading and renovation of all district hospitals in the province to make sure that the Kapampangan will be given equal oppurtunity on public health programs.
Likewise, Pineda earlier launched “Nars ni Nanay Program” which led to the hiring of some 200 nurses to augment the health services in Pampanga’s municipalities.
This program is designed to mobilize the registered nurses. The competencies that will be gained by the nurses upon completion of the program will include both health and special foucs on curative and preventive measures.
They were also tasked to detect tuberculosis patients in all the barangays of the province.
