OFWs cry for help on breach of contract

CANDABA – Ten Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from this town had cried for help and sought the assistance of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) in the region involving unpaid salaries and breach of contract.

Francis Michael Concepcion, an OFW victim narrated that they were recruited by RRJM International Manpower Services Inc. to work for Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Under the contract, they will be working for the said foreign employer for a period of two months and three weeks in consideration at least eight hundred and sixty four Saudi Riyals.

However, Saudi Arabian Airlines pre-terminated their contract without  explaining the real situation.

“Hindi nila ibinigay ng buo ang aming sahod. Hindi rin po nila sinunod yung kontrata na sila mismo ang gumawa,”  he said.

Concepcion told Sun Star Pampanga that  they had contacted Rosalinda Macas, representative of RRJM International Manpower Services Inc. to demand for the terms of the contract.

“Ang sabi pa sa amin ni Macas ay walang kwenta yung kontratav dahil Dummy lang daw ito. Sa halip na makiusap ay sila pa ang galit sa amin,” he added.

Other complaining OFWs were Alvin Paguinto, Herbert Macapagal, Lester Delos Santos, Sonny Boy Manliclic, Rajaman Ocampo, Randy Sagum, Michael Tegelan and Edward Bulanadi, all are Candabenios.
