CANDABA - This town Mayor Jerry Pelayo is planning to honor Candabenios who have contributed to the success of his three-term administration.
Pelayo divulged this during the recent meeting with the executive committee (Execom) of the 6th Ibon Ebon Festival held at the 'Bulwagan' inside the municipal hall.
He said that it is about time to recognize individuals who supported all his programs and projects that led to development and upliftment on the lives of his constituents.
"Bibigyan natin sila ng parangal dahil sa kanilang tulong sa ating administrasyon na nakita naman nating nagkaroon ng magandang resulta sa ating mga kababayan," the mayor stated.
Aside from them, Pelayo also instructed the Execom to coordinate with the village officials to search for individuals who already reached at least 90 years of age.
"Hanapin nyo sila bibigyan din natin sila ng pakunsuwelo dahil marami na rin silang nagawa para sa kanilang mga pamilya at sa ating bayan," he added.
The Ibon Ebon Festival (Bird and Egg Festival) is now on its sixth year and will be the last for Mayor Pelayo as the local chief executive.
This will start on February 8 until February 10.
However, there will be a special show on February 1 at Ms. Earth Park in Barangay Mandasig here for balikbayans who wanted to witness for the first time the festival.
