Residents urge police to monitor drag racing activity

CANDABA - Several residents here had called on the attention of the local police to monitor motorcycles drag racing activity along the portion of Sta. Ana-Baliuag road in  Pansol portion this town.

According to the residents, the motorcycle racing is comprising the safety of the people mostly employees who are on their way home.

"Karaniwan ang karela ng motor ay nagaganap sa pagitan ng ika sampu ng gabi  hanggang madaling araw," Gerard Soliman, a resident here and also an employee  in a mall from the neighboring city said.

Soliman noted that the racing was temporarily stopped at the height of the checkpoints being conducted by the joint police operatives from the Pampanga Police Provincial Office and municipal police office.

As this developed, the residents requested the local police to further strengthen their visibility to prevent motorcycle riders from the engaging into such dangerous activity at the expense of the public commuters.

This according to them would also preempt private groups and other interested individuals who are planning to disrupt the holding of peaceful  midterm elections.
