- The casting of votes yesterday in several precints here was delayed
to due to defective Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines.
Among the affected clustered precincts are Central Elementary School in Barangay Buas this town including precincts 0201A, 0202A, 0202B and 0203A.
The voters line up as early as six in the morning to cast their votes ahead for them to avoid inconveniences due to influx of people who wanted to participate in the May 13 midterm elections.

Despite
technical problems on the PCOS machines, the voters cast their votes on
time, although, the final testing and sealing start only at about
9:30am.
"Mahigit
isang oras na kaming nakapila dito sa labas ng presinto hindi gumagalaw
ang pila dahil ayaw tanggapin ng makina ang mga balota. Mukhang hindi
lang dito ang problema ka kahit sa mga presinto sa ibang barangay
mayroon din tulad nito," Eddie Laxamana, a voter here said.
The
problem on PCOS machines also holds true in various precincts in
various municipalities in the 4th district of the province.
