CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Fourth District Board Member Nestor "Bay" Tolentino the other day has reiterated the call for the Kapampangans to support and continuously pray for the victims of Typhoon Pablo.
Tolentino made this statement while speaking in one of the programs relating to Pampanga Day Celebration by the provincial government.
He extended also extended his deepest sympathy to the family members of those died during the onslaught of Typhoon Pablo.
Tolentino stated that the provincial government is likewise sensitive on the needs of fellow Filipinos who are in deepest despair.
As of yesterday, more than 900 people were killed mostly on the southern island of Mindanao while a total of 615 others remain missing.
Earlier, the provincial government with the help of the Pampangan Mayors' League (PML) donated some 500 coffins to families whose relatives were killed in landslides and flash floods triggered by the said typhoon.
It was PML President Mayor Jerry Pelayo who coordinated with the national government through the Office of Civil Defense for the coffins immediate delivery to affected families.
Coffins were sent in Mindanao upon the assistance by the Philippine Air Force in Villamor Air Base.
It was learned that this is not the first time the provincial government and PML donated coffins to typhoon victims. Last year, the victims of the Typhoon Sendong also received the same donation.
