BEST COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT OFFICE
The Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO) was recently recognized as the Best Provincial Cooperative Development Office in Central Luzon during the 11th Cooperative Summit this year.
According to Mildred Esguerra of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Pampanga is the most innovative province when it comes to cooperative development and it’s all due to the effective leadership of Mamerto Gatus, head of the Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO), and the unwavering support of the governor.
The provincial government through the PCEDO has successfully transformed the cooperatives from assistance and loan-reliant groups to livelihood and employment-generating organizations that are self-sufficient. The PCEDO under the stint of Pineda has released some P34,310,000 loans benefitting thousands of small entrepreneurs.
