CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The spouses of the Kapampangan Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) thanked the provincial government for giving them opportunity to be part of the “441st Aldo ning Kapampangan” celebration.
Marivic De Leon, a wife of an OFW shared that few days before the livelihood forum organized by the Provincial Action Center for OFW Concerns (PACOC), she was called by her husband working in the middle east telling about the activity.
De Leon said at first she was very excited to attend because she would be able to mingle with other spouses of the OFWs.
The provincial government through PACOC organized the livelihood forum in coordination with the concerned agency of the national government to provide additional inputs and information on alternative livelihood while their husbands are working abroad.
Ma. Eliza Munoz, earlier stressed that the forum will help the OFW spouses manage and spend the remittances they received for the benefit of their families.
She also stated that PACOC was established by virtue of an executive order issued by Governor Pineda tasked to immediately address the concerns of the Kapampangan OFWs in terms of employment, staying and other matters that may come out along the way.
