CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The
Provincial Government recently spearheaded a province-wide health summit held at
the Clark Freeport.
The activity was facilitated
by the Provincial Health Office in coordination with the attach agencies in the
national government.
It was attended by the
municipal health employees and other community health workers in various
localities in the province.
Governor Lilia Pineda in her
speech attributed the success in the
implementation of the health program in Pampanga to the rural health workers.
mga programa sa kalusugan," she told the community health workers.
Dr. Marcelo Jaochico,
provincial health officer, said that the summit was designed to equip the
health workers with updates and breakthrough concerning common diseases being
encountered by the Kapampangans.
He added that this
initiative was meant to recognize their contribution in providing quality
health services to the people.
Dra. Leonita Gorgolon,
Center for Health and Development director lauded the provincial goverment for
holding a health summit which according to her is necessary to provide a
unified approach in dealing with the health problems of the people.
"Nung
Pampanga ay iyong first health summit.
Gorgolon stated.
