CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –  The provincial government urged the Kapampangan students avail scholarship grants for social worker courses.

She explained that Governor Lilia Pineda is offering scholarship for those who wanted study social work courses.

Qualified individuals will be studying at the  Don Honorio Ventura Technical State University (DHVTSU).

This scholarship program is in line with the plan of the provincial government to hire social workers in every barangay to further facilitate a speedy delivery of social services.

Baybayan also noted that the initiative is aimed at addressing the  problem of inadequacy in number of license social workers.

“We only have social workers in the municipal hall but there are more less fortunate people who are in the depressed and remote areas in the villages who need their help,” said Baybayan.
