CANDABA - Fourth district congressional candidate and this town Mayor Jerry Pelayo yesterday declared he would pushed for a countryside development through comprehensive livelihood initiative in eight municipalities adjacent to Pampanga River.
The mayor cited as an example that Candaba town has enough supply of palay while coastal villages in some towns is in need of it.
In fact, he said, the people are buying it more than the allowable market price. There are also towns whose main products are sea foods but we don't have it Candaba," Pelayo stated.
Pelayo explained this can be achieved with the establishment of 'bagsakan centers' in the 4th district of the province and with the mobilization of various sectors in the localities.
Pelayo pointed out that local economy within the district will be boosted as a result of a continuing commercial activities in major 'bagsakan centers."
To further support the people, he added that he would work for the provision of additional capital in coordination with other concerned government agencies for them to get over the cycle of business activities which may eventually lead to sustainable progress and development.
