"Ber" months attract more beggars

MEXICO - Barely 86 days before Christmas, more indigenous groups with some coming as far as Mindanao flock in major streets in the province to beg for alms.

This came as  “Ber” months lead closer to December which considered by the Kampangan as month of giving and loving.

Ventura added that a group of  children who identified themselves as Badyaos are usually taking public utility vehicles along the junction public market and parish church in the town proper.

Usually, beggars  mostly members of the indigenous groups go to the  busy streets in the cities and strategic municipalities in the province  as the "Ber" months start.

Many of them stay on  the streets and knock on windows of vehicles stuck in traffic to beg occupants for alms.

"Hindi mo dapat ginawa yan. Nasaan ba ang nanay mo?" one of the passengers told the beggar.
