CANDABA - Parent leaders under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) yesterday attended a livelihood forum initiated by the municipal social welfare development office (MSWDO) here held at municipal hall's Bulwagan.
Mayor Rene Maglanque welcomed the resource speakers coming from various agencies of the government who were tasked to educate the parent leaders about importance of starting up a small business of their own by giving them basics on financial management.
He stated that the municipal government will always be supportive of the livelihood trainings for the marginalized sector.
Cresecita Fidelino, MSWD officer-in-charge said that the activity is designed to provide the parent leaders knowledge and skills in running their own businesses.
The speakers are Lilia Ediza (DSWD - Project Development Officer), Corita Gatuang (Branch Head - Social Security System Services), Mamerto Gatus (Provincial Cooperative Officer) among others.
The forum also touches different industries and products with high market demand which they may easily engaged after attending the activity.
Ediza speaks about sustainable livelihood program which the Department of Social Welfare and Development is providing for the target beneficiaries.
"Ang programa po ng 4Ps ay may hangganan, kaya namin kayo tinuturuan ng mga programa sa livelihood para magamit sa tama ang benepisyo na ibinibigay sa atin ng ating pamahalaan," she stated.
