PDRRMO intensifies monitoring due to bad weather

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO  - The Provincial Disaster Rsik Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) yesterday has intensified its 24-hour monitoring following the heavy downpour  in the province. 

Angelina Blanco, PDRRMO chief in her report disclosed that the local officials in Minalin town in  coordination with the provincial government spearheaded a sand bagging activity along Sta. Rita Tail dike.

This aims to preempt the adverse effect of the increasing water level along the dike leaving only three meters before spilling. 

Blanco also bared that water in Pampanga River is still its in normal level with at least 5.5 meters before the spilling level. 

PDRRMO's situational report as of 2:00 PM yesterday noted that four barangays in Macabebe town were submerged to two feet floodwater. 

This includes the barangays of Castuli,  Mataguiti , Saplad David and  Tacasan.

In Lubao town, the barangays of Baruya and Sto. Nino were also flooded with 3-feet  and 2 to 5 feet respectively.

Meanwhile, Mayor  Danilo  Guintu of Masantol declares suspension of classes for elementary level as a result of heavy rains
