MEXICO - Small scale fish traders here expressed alarm over the increasing number of hold up incidents as most of them were victimized by the group operating in several communities in town.
According to them, this group has been consistently posting in remote portion of the barangay to ensure that the would be victim will be totally rendered helpless for their personal gains.
The latest incident happened the other day in Barangay San Juan wherein a fish trader boarded in a "kolong kolong" (tricycle) was forcibly freezed and harassed by an unidentified motorcycle riders.
Galapon noted that this is not the first incident, in fact he added, the same is regularly happening in the locality and other neighboring places involving traders "on wheels" including ambulant vendors.
With this, the affected traders asked concerned local officials to closely monitor their respective community to prevent the entry of any lawless group.
"Sana matulungan po kami ng mga kinauukulan lalu na yung mga nasa barangay," another trader who requested not to be identified pointed out.
