Authorities, NGOs provides assistance riding public

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Authorities in-charged in the maintenance of peace and order were now visible in some strategic areas in the province to provide assistance to the riding public.

This came as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) and other non-government organizations embraced for the influx of returning residents for the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day celebrations.

In Candaba town, Superintendent Henry Flores stationed his men along the corner of Barangay Mandasig near the Ms. Earth Park for the immediate response on the needs of the motorists.

It was learned that other policemen were also posted in two other strategic areas in Tagalog and Kapampangan regions.

In Sta. Ana town, the local police served as public safety marshals in an outpost established in a junction between the public market and parish church.

The BFP  also launched “Oplan Kaluluwa” to ensure the safety of the residents, travelers and motorists.

Meanwhile, a member of the Society of Communicators’ and Networkers (SCAN) Pampanga Chapters told Sun Star Pampanga that they are also set to establish traffic assistance centers in the province.

This is aimed at providing help to both private and public motorists who are returning for a long vacation.
 
The activity in being conducted regularly in closed coordination with the local police in the different towns in the province.
 
Other NGOs who are  also assisting the public were Guardians and Kabalikat Civicom.
