CITY OF SANFERNANDO – Makati City Council approved a resolution earlier
authorizing Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay to sign a sisterhood pact with the municipality of Candaba.
The resolution was sponsored by Councilor Maria Concepcion Yabut.
It is aimed at strengthening
friendship ties between the two local government units by instituting a working
avenue of communication in facilitating exchanges of information and
technology, urban planning policies and development, socio cultural activities,
income generating strategy and fiscal management.
The resolution also intended to
foster mutual friendship and goodwill, nurture closer relationship among their
people, cultural exchanges including economic ties.
The bilateral relations will
further promote programs on mutual health care facilitation, public education
intensification, and other important aspects of local governance that are both
beneficial to Candaba and Makati
City
It said that the exchange of
ideas may eventually lead to growth, development and self sustainability.
