CANDABA – Disgruntled resident-registrants at municipal office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in this town yesterday noted favoritism on the registration process.
This came as hundreds of Candabenios came early at the Comelec office to be registered and be able to participate on the upcoming elections next year.
Most of them were first time voters while others are transferees from other places.
“Ang aga naming pumila para magparehistro, tapos may biglang darating na nagpapakilalang kandidato umano at may kasamang mga tao na ipaparehistro din niya. Kaya lang nilalampasan nila kami sa pila,” Johnny Lazaro,a resident from the Kapampangan region stated.
The complaining residents came as far as the Barangaays of Salapungan, Kawayang Bugtong and Tagulod.
These barangays were located along the boundaries of Pampanga, Bulacan and Nueva Ecija
“Dapat sa mga ganitong klaseng kandidato na walang disiplina at hindi marunong sumunod sa tamang proseso ay hindi binibigyan ng pwesto sa munisipyo baka lalung maging abusado,” Lazaro said.
“It appears that the attending Comelec personnel and the alleged candidate had previous agreement on this matter. This is unfair for us who come early,” another resident
