This came amidst the protest made by Mayor
Jerry Pelayo in some of the infrastructure projects implemented by the
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the municipality.

These projects were believed to be substandard
for having been destroyed long before the target date of completion.
Arnedo Dike collapsed while the weather is fair
and water in Pampanga
River is calm and in
average level.
Leny Manalo, municipal administrator here, in
his facebook account disclosed that more than P200 million has been spent by
the national government in this portion of Arnedo Dike.
He also noted that the project failed because
of wrong design and the same was not properly coordinated with the local
government unit.
The nearby road is no longer passable to heavy vehicle.
This road is located at the back of the house
of Rene Maglanque who is reportedly eyeing the mayoralty position next
election.
Residents claimed that the
project was being carried out by contractor Northern Builders but it was left
unfinished even before rainy season.
The contractor pulled out its heavy equipments
and did not finish the concreting of the remaining stretch of the affected
dike.
