CANDABA
– The local chief executive in this town stated yesterday that they
would help the farmers whose standing crops were submerged to floodwater
in getting benefits from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation
(PCIC).
Mayor Rene Maglanque asked Mario Concepcion, municipal agriculturist to come up with final report on the
extent of actual agricultural damages for possible assistance.
“Tutulungan natin ang mga farmers natin para makakuha ng insurance benefit,” he said.
Aside
from this, the mayor also stressed that on the part of the municipal
government that they would also provide assistance based on the existing
resources.
“Titignan din natin ang sitwasyon at pag aaralan natin kung ano ang pweding itulong sa ating mga magsasaka,” Maglanque noted.
Recently, Provincial Agriculturist Crispin Guinto paid courtesy call to Mayor Maglanque.
They
talk about various agricultural programs which the municipal and
provincial governments can jointly undertake for the benefit of the
people.
