SAN SIMON – Three locals here were arrested yesterday by
authorities for the alleged involvement in hijacking incident in Sta. Maria
town in Bulacan.
The police identified the suspects as Elmer Sta. Ana, 32, Alexlie
Dantes, 24, Joe De Guzman, 30, all are residents of Barangay San Pablo Propio
this town.
According to the initial
investigation, Sta. Maria police chief-Superintendent Lalaine Amparo coordinated
with the local police here at around 2:45 in the morning.
Amparo relayed the hi-jacking incident that transpired
within their area of responsibility, however, the suspects were believed to
be hiding in Barangay San Pablo Propio.
With this, Chief Inspector Michael John Riego conducted a
follow up operation which eventually resulted to the arrest of suspects.
The suspects were subsequently brought to Sta. Maria Police
Station for proper disposition.
Recovered from the suspects are stolen chickens allegedly
found at the house of a former councilman and barangay captain Benjamin De
Guzman
Sun Star Pampanga tried to contact De Guzman for comment but
failed.
