Police, BPATS jointly maintain peace and order

CANDABA - Members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) from  villages near the town proper had combined effort with the local police in maintaining the peace and order.

This came as Mayor Rene Maglanque recently called the attention of Superintendent Benjamin Medina - town's police chief  and  barangay captains in  Paralaya, Buas, San Agustin and Pescadores involving the reported incident of disagreement between youth  groups during night time.

"Nakatanggap tayo ng report na mayroong mga kabataan ang nag aaway tuwing gabi kaya agad nating kinausap si hepe. Hindi natin papayagan na masira ang katahimikan ng ating bayan," he said.

As this developed, Maglanque the other day presided a meeting between the local police and barangay leaders to determine their degree of cooperation.

He believed that partnership  between the police and community will greatly help improve the peace and order situation in Candaba.

This joint operation seeks to encourage people in the community to  share the responsibility of peacekeeping and maintaining order.

On the part of the municipal government, Maglanque is providing logistics and other support for the needs of the police and BPATs members to make ensure the success of the peace and order drive in the town plaza.
