CITY OF SAN
FERNANDO – The
leadership of Butil Farmers Party yesterday
vowed to provide P1-million to support the health programs of the municipality of Candaba .
Butil Representative Agapito Guanlao joined Mayor Rene Maglanque, Vice
Mayor Normita Evangelista among other officials
and employees during the flag raising ceremony Monday. Also in the photo is former Councilor Let Miclat.
Guanlao
stated that he is just returning the favour to Candabenios who supported Butil
Party in the recently concluded midterm elections.
“Gusto
lang natin magpasalamat sa tulong ng ating mga kababayan. Narito tayo para
personal na ipaabot ang pasasalamat,” he added.
Aside
from this, Guanlao also promised to continuously provide farm inputs to the
local farmers in order to increase the latter’s capability to earn more during
harvest season.
“Itutuloy
lang natin ang mga nasimulan nating programa para sa ating mga magsasaka.
Titiyakin natin na maibigay sa kanila ang suportang kailangan nila,” he stated.
The party
list representative also assured Candabenios that Butil will continuously represent
the interest of the farmers in Congress in the form of legislative measures.
“Pagdating
sa budget deliberations titiyakin natin na mayroong sapat na pondo para sa mga programa
na may kinalaman sa mga magsasaka lalu na yung paggawa ng irigasyon,” Guanlao
noted.
Butil is
a farmers’ organization aimed at providing a package of support services
through its institutional networks.
