CANDABA - Police authorities here yesterday disclosed that they are currently establishing random checkpoints in strategic areas to prevent lawless groups from operating in town victimizing innocent Candabenios.
Superintendent Benjamin Medina, town's chief of police claimed that the initiative is in response with the recently reported attempt to kidnap two public school pupils by an unidentified group on board of a white van.
The police chief added that they are not dispensing the possibility of having a consummated kidnapping incident in town in the future.
In fact, he instructed the police personnel to remain vigilant and further increase visibility to preempt this lawless group from committing a crime here.
