FREEPORT - The local elected officials and other key employees of the
Municipality of Candaba yesterday conducted an executive and legislative
agenda (ELA) inside the Freeport Zone.
Mayor Rene Maglanqe led the executive department while Vice Mayor Normita Evangelista stand behind the members of the Sangguniang Bayan in setting the developmental priorities in town for the next three years.
The activity is aimed at putting together and compromising executive priorities to the legislative agenda of local council.
Irene Bacani, a representative from the Department Interior and Local Government (DILG) facilitated the trainings, seminars and other activities as part of ELA.
She was assisted by Annette Gulapa, municipal interior and operations officer.
"Kailangan po ay iinvolve natin ang mga tao sa ating mga programa" Bacani suggested to the officials.
She also guided them in drafting institutional policies and programs
The officials agreed that the Municipality of Candaba for the next few years will be the top food producer in Central Luzon.
They also vowed to promote multi sectoral participation and linkages in the formulation and implementation of programs.
Among other top priorities of Maglanque are health, education, agriculture and infrastructure.
