CITY
OF SAN FERNANDO - Vice Governor Dennis Pined the other day instructed
the chiefs of police in various municipalities in the province to track
down and arrest individuals with
pending warrants of arrest.
He stated that the two recent shooting incidents in Pampanga were perpetrated by residents with pending warrants of arrest.
"Sa
ating mga kapulisan pwedi ba sa pag uwi ninyo ay tignan ninyo ang mga
taong mayroong warrant of arrest sa inyong mga lugar para mabawasan ang
mga taong masama sa kalsada," Pineda said.
The
vice governor believed that the shooting incidents could have been
probably avoided if warrants of arrest were implemented by the
authorities in due time.
Earlier, Laurence Viray, Mayor Dan Guintu's secretary was shoot dead while on his way in Barangay Bebe Anac.
Chief
Inspector Joven Dela Cruz, Masantol town chief of police bared that the
suspect based on the investigation has a pending warrant of arrest for
several previously committed.
Recently,
Mesalipit Barangay Captain Rodrigo L. Tongol and former councilmen
Pedro S. Canlas and Merlito N. Pineda in Bacolor town were killed in an
ambush while on their way home in their service vehicle to the Madapdap
Resettlement
Center.
According
to the police authorities, the suspects in the ambush-slay were also
objects of the lawful warrants issued by the competent court.
