CANDABA - The municipal government through Mayor Rene
Maglanque had provided financial assistance to the typhoon affected families in
Barangay Sto. Nino this town.
Each of the eight families who lost their houses received
an immediate assistance amounting to at least P5,000.
"Binigyan natin sila ng tulong para mayroon naman
silang magamit sa kanilang pang araw araw na pangangailangan habang bumabangon
sila mula sa hagupit ng kalamidad,” Maglanque said.
The mayor assured the residents that the municipality
wills closely working with them in dealing with the effects of the recent
calamity.
“Lagi tayong naka antabay sa ating mga kababayan upang
tiyakin ang kanilang kaligtasan. Gusto nating malaman ng ating mga Kabalen na
mayroon silang munisipyu na handang tumulong sa kanila sa panahon ng mahigpit
na pangangailangan,” he added.
As this developed, the flood affected residents thanked
Mayor Maglanque for the timely intervention and show of support in times they need
most the help of the municipal government.
“Halos taon taon po ay inaabot kami ng problema pero
ngayon lamang kami nakaranas ng ganitong tulong,” Severino Manalastas, a
displaced resident stressed.
In a related story, the municipal government likewise had
given financial assistance to some 36 families in Barangay Buas whose houses
are threatened to be wash out anytime should another calamity hits the
municipality.
