Parents: officials, would be candidates take children without permission

CANDABA - Several parents here are saying that their children at being taken by the some incumbent village candidates including their would be political rivals to the municipal Commission on Elections (Comelec) office for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan registration. 

"Isinasama nila ang aming mga anak ng walang abiso. Sinusundu nila sa eskwela tapos itutuloy na nila sa bayan para magparehistro," Mang Edgar said. 

The syncronized Barangay and Sanggunian Kabataan registration started last July 22 until July 31. Since then, numerous complaints against the local office of Comelec  had been reported by the registrants.

"Okey lang naman po sa amin na isama nila ang aming mga anak basta ipagpaalam lang nila. Nagalala lang kami, kala namin kung ano na ang nangyari sa kanila eh," Sylvia Lourdes also  resident here stated. 

It can be recalled that  registrants coming from the far flung barangays earlier likewise complained familiarity and "palakasan" during registration for the upcoming Sangguniang Kabataan and barangay elections. 

The registration is being held at the Mayor's Action Center inside the compound of Ms. Earth Part in Barangay Mandasig.


Meanwhile,  Comelec scheduled the filing of Certificates of Candidacy on October 15 until October 17.


The election period covers the period of September 28 to November 12. Election day will be on October 28.
